Welcome to EchoEd

EchoEd is an education experience dedicated to making reading joyful, accessible, and equitable for every child. We create children’s books and phonemic awareness curricula that are research-based and culturally responsive, ensuring that Black and Brown students — and all learners — see themselves in stories while gaining the skills they need to thrive. Our mission is simple: Big Readers Start with Little Sounds.

Our Story

EchoEd was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to become a confident reader. As a former Black and Brown student, I experienced firsthand how books often failed to reflect my identity and how many of my peers struggled without the right support. Today, too many children — especially Black and Brown students — are still behind in reading, not because of ability, but because of access.

EchoEd was created to change that. We design fun, decodable books and research-based curricula that bring joy back into learning while reflecting the diversity of our classrooms. Our goal is to make sure all children can see themselves in the stories they read and gain the foundational skills they need to thrive.
